This series is an ongoing production of videos that conflate the lived and cinematic experience of the city of Vancouver, Canada. Each video in the series superimposes the narrative of a particular film or television episode shot in Vancouver on the location in which it was filmed. Using simple camera movements, the videos present documentation of a number of film locations as they exist in daily life, while voice-over narration attempts to describe, as accurately as possible, the viewing experience of the scene.
The scenes below were filmed at locations used in X-Files episode Wetwired and the filmThe Exorcism of Emily Rose. Script by Anthony Discenza, voice-over narration by Alison Matthews, and cinematography by Devan Scott.
